Who is Royal Pas Reform

Our journey started in 1919, when Gerrit Pas built his first incubator in Zeddam in the Achterhoek: a wooden cabinet on legs, with petroleum-fired heating. Gerrit could not have imagined that a century later we would have grown into a leading global player in hatchery technologies, serving customers in more than 100 countries.

Since our foundation, Royal Pas Reform has been a leader in developing smart, integrated and sustainable hatchery solutions. Today, we are one of the largest manufacturers of chick incubators in the world, with more than 30% global market share. Sales and service activities are conducted through three locations: Royal Pas Reform in the Netherlands; Pas Reform do Brasil in Brazil, and Pas Reform North America in the US. In addition, we have our own sales offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America, plus an extensive network of agents in more than 40 countries.

At the heart of our company is the Pas Reform Academy, which, in close collaboration with customers and universities, conducts research into the impact of the hatching process on the embryonic development of the chick. This specialist knowledge is used for the training and coaching of hatchery managers and the development of new and innovative products and services for the hatchery industry.

Innovation is the fundamental driving force of our company and it’s in the DNA of our 150 passionate employees. As a team, we have developed dozens of superior products for the hatchery industry, while putting our customers at the center of everything we do. By offering them an integrated solution of incubation systems, advanced climate control and hatchery automation systems, we gain ever greater insight and control over the total incubation process, and we can increase the service to our customers. Your role

“Your role will have a significant impact on the growth journey of Royal Pas Reform, by translating our SmartGrowth™ strategy into daily operations”

We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Chief Operating Officer, who will guide our operations team to realize the transition from Engineer to Order (ETO) to Configure to Order (CTO). You will report to the CEO, be part of the global management team and make a crucial contribution to the further development of our company strategy and product portfolio. You will lead a global team of 12 colleagues who will report directly to you, including leaders of supply chain management, assembly in Zeddam, Warehouse & Operations in Doetinchem, Operations in Jacksonville (USA), Master Planning and project management.

Your challenge

You will translate our SmartGrowth™ strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, continuous improvement, performance management, and operations planning.

You will oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.

You will lead your team to be efficient, productive, and effective, with continual focus on performance improvement in quality, on time delivery, project margins, cost of sales, lead times and inventory.

You will adapt our internal organization and supply chain to a changing market volume. It will require a focus on complete and reliable delivery of quality equipment and service parts and managing projects from order acceptance to handover, whilst meeting agreements with our customers and forecasted cost and income.

What you are bringing

You are an experienced leader – able to stimulate, coach, and inspire your teams and fellow managers. You are able to develop key talent in your team through intensive dialogue and by providing challenge.

You are a proven team player, with enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, a great sense of responsibility and a solution-oriented mindset. You will exhibit an ‘owners’ mentality, with a positive and critical attitude and a source of insightful advice.

You will have been a project manager and/or successfully led a team of project managers. You may be in – or have profound experience with – engineering of professional equipment, and/or be in – or have profound experience with – installation and service of professional equipment.

Ideally you will have experience of leading production/assembly teams in a make-to-order environment and also of purchasing / outsourcing and general supply chain challenges.

Your educational qualifications are likely to include a Masters in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, Business Management, or Operations research & logistics. You will have knowledge of lean techniques like 5S, Six Sigma, TQM, TOC, or similar, and be familiar with IT systems for Lifecycle management/Engineering data management.

You will drive cooperation within the company, based on ERP systems like MS Dyn 365.
